A little bit about me…

I earned my master’s degree in counseling from University of Mary in 2018 and have been practicing in private practice and community mental health settings since then. I also work on call for the state of North Dakota as part of the crisis team.

Prior to all of this, I was a high school teacher for many years. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota (a very long time ago!) and taught at Grand Forks Central before moving to Chicago and teaching there for 5 years.

I love my work and enjoy seeing clients find success and confidence as they do the work on themselves. But over the years I have found that the most important way to continue doing this type of work is to also be able to set boundaries and find things that are fulfilling outside of work. I’ve got two children who are growing up way too quickly in my opinion. The three of us and our rescue dog, Luna, complete our little family. We love sports, theater, animals, ice cream, and adventuring (in a Jeep as often as possible).
